Zidane - Steiner doesn't like Zidane and thinks that he's a bad influence on Garnet. He believes she's being manipulated by Zidane. Steiner is the subject of Zidane's jokes which annoy Steiner to no end.
Garnet - Steiner is continously trying to convice Garnet to go with him back to Alexandria. He believes that she needs to go back otherwise she'll get hurt. Even though he's clumsy and gets himself into sticky situations, he's always there for her and is trying to help her.
Vivi - Vivi is a kind and timid person and Steiner sympathises with him but also has a huge amount of respect for him. Steiner feels protective of him and feels like he should do everything he can to help him out. However he is also aware of his great strenght in battle. He is a Black Mage! In battle they can team up to power Steiner's weapons with Vivi's magic. Steiner really likes Vivi and tries his best to make him feel loved and welcome in the team and shows his respect by calling him Master Vivi. His friendship with Vivi is a chosen one, and not one that is forced on him because of his duty to the Knights of Alexandria.
Beatrix - General Beatrix and Steiner are rivals. She is the General of Alexandria and they seem to always strive for Queen Brahne's approval. They're often forced to work together to perform kingdomly duties, however later in the game they want to protect Alexandria together. They understand how alike they are and they become each other's love interest.
Eiko - These two don't interact very much in the game. They do aknowledge each others presence but they don't really say much to each other.
Freya/Frejia - Even though they're from very different worlds and different races, they're both knights. Steiner is a very classical Knight of the kingdom of Alexandria and Freya is a Red Dragon Knight from the kingdom of Burmecia. There isn't a lot of interaction between the two but they have a great deal of respect for each other and each other's powers as a Knight.
Amarant - Steiner and Amarant's interaction with each other isn't frequent and they don't really say much to each other, however they obviously know about each others presence.
Quina - Steiner doesn't really know what to think of Quina. They don't have much interaction with each other however Steiner is quite indifferent to Quina's presence and doesn't believe it is a very strong or weak force in the team. Steiner also thinks Quina's a bit strange.
